I'm excited to say that I have four signatures on my petition! Not a momentous number yet, but a start. Have you signed my petition? I'm asking fans of Edgar & Ellen books to sign my petition to ask, plead -- beg -- author Charles Ogden not to end his series at 6 books. Please sign today and please ask your friends, relatives, and neighbors to sign it, too.

Simply send me an e-mail with your first name and state*. That will be your "signature" asking Charles Ogden to write more Edgar & Ellen books. I'm going to set a three-month deadline for this petition and see how many signatures I get. If I need to go longer to collect more signatures or if this is really popular and more kids need more time I will consider lengthening the deadline.

*I will collect only your first name, state, and e-mail address in an Excel spreadsheet to track how many unique signatures I collect. My name is Hils and I love Edgar & Ellen stories by Charles Ogden. I love them so much that when I found out he is working on his 6th story, I was really happy. Then I found out it was to be his last Edgar & Ellen story! I was so sad. I was so sad, I took a drastic step -- I decided to start a petition drive to ask him to write more stories after book #6.

If you like Edgar & Ellen stories, too, you can join my drive by signing my petition. And you can come back to this blog to see how the effort is going and what you can do to help it along.

Before you do anything, if you are 13 years old or younger you need to get your parents' permission. Ask them to read this page and okay you to take part in this site. If you have been in the Internet long, you have seen this requirement before and you know it is to protect you.

Once you have your parents' permission, please sign my petition. Here's how it works: I will provide a link below to an e-mail address. Simply send me an e-mail with your first name and state*.
